DJ brought his 2007 BMW M5 to Lutz Performance to change his his exhaust note and give him the flexability to make his M5 sound like a race car and then in seconds flip back to his stock factory exhaust system bringing the tone back to a quite super sleeper! We achieved this goal by removing his ASR Engineering GEN I exhaust system and replacing it with his factory mid-section and mufflers, bringing the car back to its orignal tone. We then installed a twin Quicktime Performance Electronic Cut-out system. Taking the Factory mid-section we cut them to fit the Quicktime y-pipe pieces in-line with the factory pipe, we then installed the electronic cutouts and wired the system from the cutouts to the Electronic controller that controls both cut-outs and gives the user two options, 1st button allows 0-100% and 100%-0 operation and the 2nd allows partial operation in 25% intervals. The controller was wired cleanly into the center console and out of sight of any other passengers or people un-familiar with his system. This system now allows DJ to be able to silently drive around and stay under the radar of neighbors and law enforcement, and at the same time have the ability to switch to a full blown race mode that will be sure to turn heads for years to come!
